Fuller Jenkins attorneys know what to do when your home enters foreclosure. Foreclosure is a legal process through which your lender takes back ownership of your home because you have failed to make the payments. This process can be stopped almost right up until the day your home is sold at auction.
We work with lenders, and with the court system to enforce all of your rights. You may be able to reinstate your loan, or to get relief through a variety of programs. A foreclosure is avoidable if you start working now to save your home before it is simply too late.
Once your lender files a Notice of Default (N.O.D.) there is a 90 day period in which you have the right to fix the default and put your loan back in good standing. After the 90 days, the lender can file a Notice of trustee’s sale. That notice will tell you the date your home will be sold by Sheriff’s auction, but no sooner than 21 days after the date of that notice.
Your home is a very significant part of your life, and the most important asset most families own. Let Fuller Jenkins attorneys help you to save it from Foreclosure.
